Wanna win a book of writing advice?
Here's something about us. The Pens are members of the San Francisco Area Romance Writers of America. A few years ago, our chapter put out a book on WRITING. While the slant of some of the book is romance based, most of the writing advice works no matter what kind of fiction you are working on.
So how can you win?
Post a comment (on this particular post only!), tell us what you are working on, and you will be entered in a drawing to WIN:

I've written two non-fiction books and am writing a third, but want to learn how to write a fiction book! Thanks for the chance to win a copy.
I'm currently working on something and I'm sure this book would help. Thanks for the chance!
I'm currently working on a fiction romance. This would be awesome.
Please enter me in the contest! I only dream about writing at this (very busy) point in my life but this would be totally inspiring.
This sounds wonderful--my WIP is a historical fiction set in Louisiana and Texas during the Civil War with romantic undertones because my very much in love married couple are currently separated--he knows she is alive but she does not know his fate (yet). This book would help me write the romantic parts, I'm sure ;-)
Thanks for offering the chance to win!
Currently revising and finishing my first novel, which I began during NaNoWriMo 2010, about a girl with an uncanny attunement to the energies of the universe and how it manifests itself as she grows up. Also working on a nonfiction self-help book, because my life's dream is to be the female Wayne Dyer. In between, I knit socks. This book belongs on my shelf!
I am nearly finished with my first novel, women's fiction with a romantic element. This book sounds great! Thank you for all that you do to support budding writers!
I'm facing the first rewrite of my 2009 NaNoWriMo set on a tropical island about a widow who takes a second chance at love. Knowing what a slog it could be keeps my keys empty. Maybe your book would help me dive in.
Heading to the library today to work on my query letter for my romantic comedy that I finally completed last month.
Hi Lovely Pens,
I am in revision hell on my Young Adult novel. Luckily I found a writing group and I am finally making headway. Would love that book btw I hope I win! Keep up the wonderful posts I read them all.
Thanks
Jeri
Right now, I'm working on 2 books- one is a YA creation allegory and the other is an adult murder mystery/thriller. I'm also working on staying on track to graduate this May (!!!!!!) and waiting to hear back about grad school. MFA Programs FOR THE WIN!
Boy, anyone who's mentioned the sophomore jinx, how nearly impossible it is for a lot of writers to get that second book on an editor's desk, much less published, hit it right on the nose! I published a short contemporary romance three years ago, and it's been a struggle to get this next book out. Illness, family tragedy contributed to the various blocks I've suffered. I'm in the second round of revisions, and it appears I'm rewriting the whole book because it lacks a decent voice. If I don't win this book, I'll buy it because I need to rediscover my lifelong passion for writing.
Never give up, never surrender!
Sorry, forgot to include my email. zbeewmn@aol.com
My WIP is a single title romance with a touch of suspense - I've read a couple of how-to books, but more advice is never a bad thing!
I'd love a copy...looks great!
I'm working on my naninomo story/novel idea...and fleshing it out.
OMG--thanks for the second mention of this today--thought I had already commented, but darn it, I forgot to give you my e-mail addy in case I won LOL...
