I like to think I'm a fairly discerning reader. I care a great deal about the books I pick up and devote my time and attention to. I have wide-ranging criteria for determining a book's merit, and while they are highly personal, they are also well-reasoned, whether the yardstick has to do with language, pace, rhythm, emotional depth, ingenuity, or a dozen other elements of fiction.
When it comes to movies, on the other hand, I'm an unsophisticated clod. I like what I like, generally prefer lowbrow offerings, often disagree with the academy, and fall asleep regularly in theaters if there aren't enough chase scenes.
I love action movies, softcore horror, psychological thrillers. I'm not big on date movies, and my viewing age is probably somewhere around thirteen. Some of my favorites include Die Hard (sorry, Martha, I got here first!), Anchorman, Serenity, and all the Veggie Tales.
Like many writers, one of my favorite daydreamy pastimes is casting my books. I've got my leading man all lined up - Ed Harris is going to play Goat, of course! I can't quite decide who would make the best Stella. I kind of think Wynonna Judd, even though she's not much of an actress. As for Chrissy - well, those younger actresses are all so damn skinny. Maybe one of them will agree to bulk up a bit for the role.

I gotta admit Wynonna scares me a little. Just a little. But then again maybe that would work for Stella.
Anchorman makes my Top 10 list. To many quotable lines to list, but if I had to pick a favorite then I would go with "60% of the time it works every time."
Did you just claim Die Hard? Oh it's ON!
I wanna play Stella!!!
